Anamorphic DVX lens for Canon

FOr others' info, it'll work on anything with a 72mm filter thread including our venerable Canon XL1 & XL1s's to provide an uncropped 16:9 image (it'll need to be unanimorphisized once it's imported) and on the XL2, DVX to provide up to a 2.35:1 (Cinemascope) if the camera is already in 16:9 mode - in fact, the HD versions of these cameras use a 72mm thread as well - so even better super widescreen.

I've had the opportunity to play with one (oakstreetphotovideo stopped by on his way through MN once) and it's a great image on my XL1s.

The optics look a little dirty, is that just dust or is there pitting at all on the front element?
