Hi there, I was looking into getting some work experience and thought it'd be a good idea to send them a video CV to show that I actually make films!

Any advice on how to do this? e.g. length, song choice, sounds, etc.

Any examples of anyones would be great as well!

Short, perhaps no longer than 1-2minutes, put your best shots in there. Make it as its own video flow. if youre good at video toud expect your 'video cv' to be entertaining to some degree. If there's music don't let it be music that will make them judge you. Ie, don't put a 1D background music.

What's wrong wirh 1D?

danncooper - You're talking about a showreel. It's common practice. I've not done one, but I'm sure lots of people around here have, so hopefully they can offer somt good advice.

What would you suggest instead of music? Just sounds that go along with the film?

Music works, you just have to choose it really well.

Video CV refers to something else entirely (and also, completely ridiculous).
