Film Reviews On YouTube

I've had a look around and I think I know they answer to my question, but I'm curious to know if anybody here has any experience...

If you make a video for YouTube reviewing a newly released film, can you use clips from said film within the review? I believe it should be okay, as it should be covered by "fair use". But what if those reviews are on a monetized channel?

One thing I've noticed about a lot of reviews on YouTube (or, more specifically, those made by independant reviewers) is that they tend to be the reviewer simply talking to the camera. Just wondering why that is...

Even monetized? No issue there that you're aware of?

I get that talking heads is easy, but it's really boring! If I click a review (which often have a thumbnail showing a shot from the movie!) and find that it's just some guy talking to his webcam, I'll click back immediately...

Thanks mlesemann. That article contains this quote:

4. Movie reviews containing clips of copyrighted films
- This counts as commentary and criticism of the original film and is very likely fair use.

Sounds reasonable to me!
