Shatner is a regular guest on a radio station I listen to in LA and he's
been promoting his album (Seeking Major Tom) for months now. It's
a brilliant album and this music video is classic!

Funny, I didn't get that, but variety makes the world go 'round. I'll give him kudos on marketing, though.
I kind of enjoy his music, but as a person I haven't been able to stand Shatner since I saw his documentary 'The Captains.' Talk about a sexist egomaniac...

I've got to hand it to him as an 80 year old man, he knows perfectly well he's terrible at this and people will buy it. Making fun of yourself with Dready's spot on assessment in mind is brilliant.
Any attention is good attention when you're a true egomaniac. 
Don't get me wrong though, I find it/him pretty entertaining myself sometimes.
