character What is the current best Story writing / outline software and Character creation soft

For example Dramatica, Contour etc? And persona and character writer etc.. What are the peoples choice? There seems to be quite a few options and all the info and comparisons I can find are very dated.. Any info would be great.

PS - What are the most popular screen writing forums for noobies..

I went with contour and Persona for now. Contour seems like a good option for beginners like myself. Any opinions on it?

I like Dramatica. But initially it can be quite daunting and requires quite a bit of study. It takes a while for the software paradigm to 'click'. If you want an application that you can just dive into, look elsewhere.
