Websites to post my trailer?

I'd like some ideas of where I could post a trailer to my film to help promote it?

I have done the youtube, aol, myspace, amazon, IMDB, already but was wondering if there were any other sites out there that allow you to post movie info and a trailer? Any leads would be appriciated.

I will say this, I was shocked how much I got from Youtube. It was a great response. I put up some VERY ROUGH and VERY EARLY cuts from the film up there, pretty raw and unedited and I got a ton of views and feedback, it was a great way to promote my film.

It was a Documentary on Joe Namath getting snubbed by his hometown and how much the city has fallen apart since his heyday....So if you know of specific sports/documentary film sites I would appriciate it.

The film has already been viewed, and I am just trying to generate more interest/DVD sales. Thanks.
 
I would stay away from posting rough cuts and edits. I know it's super-dooper tempting, but it's a folly for sure. Wait till you have a good trailer or teaser.

Where you post depends on your genre...if you have a horror film, there are a myriad sites to post to: Fangoria, Dreadcentral, ScreamKings, etc...

If you have a sports doc, those sites won't take it. You have to find which sites work best with your doc. I would search for sports forums and message boards. I would contact sports websites, and ask if they want to host your doc.

I don't know of any sports-related sites that would host your doc...sorry. Good luck.

Thanks for the info, I had to post some rough cuts unfortunately.

A few news outlets were going to press about the film and I needed to get some exposure (even if it was subpar) or lose the chance to connect with people from all the free PR I was getting. In the end it worked out.

It's not really a sports doc, more focused on the town Namath grew up in (Beaver Falls) than the man himself. I knew a topic on him would generate a buzz though, it worked.

I will keep looking for more spots to promote it, it became profitable after 3 weeks after the release so I am just trying to get more eyeballs at this point.

I do have several Jets sites hosting sample clips, that has given some help. Every eyeball matters.
