War of the Worlds

"Never let anyone kill your dreams’ in the words of my idol, John Lasseter. The only thing is, I intend to make my dream a reality!

At the young age of 15, I have made several animation short films and received awards and positive critical reviews as well as a premiere screening at the Grand Theatre, Wolverhampton last year for Cyborg Enemy. Now- my latest film is an exciting, animated motion picture for television which I would love to be shown on BBC Three in 2012.

I won’t let the fact that I am 15 and started making this film at 13 stop me from making a name in the film industry. Furthermore, I have total support from a Coraline Animator and also a Pixar Animator both of which will be acting as mentors and making sure the film is finished to the highest standard that the BBC represents. I have only used professional softwares that are used in the animation industry including Adobe Premiere Pro and 3DS Max which will also assure that the film is to the highest standard. I have attached some images from the film itself just so you can see how high a quality I am animating to.

My film is a dramatic, new and exciting take on the H.G. Wells War of the Worlds story. Yes-it’s still got the martians, the hero, the dramatic scenery, but much, much more. It features hugely detailed animation which then combines with an exceptionally appealing story that will keep any type of audience gripped!

In this great adventure of Man vs. Monster we follow the life of a man named Jonathan and his journey during the Martian invasion. We see the Martians take over - however what is unique and exclusive about this story is that the Martians win! The Martians manage to defend themselves from bacteria by wearing suits to stop the bacteria from getting in. We then see Jonathan a year later and find himself and a team have survived and are living on the edge of survival. Their adventure centres on defeating the Martians and reign victorious once again! It features some great characters, great comedic moments and amazing fight sequences.

Now here’s what I would love from you. This project like every project needs a script and I was hoping that you would be able to write one for me. I do understand that you all probably have jobs and you may be reading this thinking I am just a kid who is wasting your time however if just a couple of you volunteered then that would be great for the film as then the script would be done even quicker than that! I understand that I am asking a lot from you especially for free and I am very very grateful and really appreciate you taking the time out just to read this.

You should probably write it yourself. Getting the hang of format isn't too tough, Celtx is free, sit down and start typing. You have full creative control over the story, and you don't have to wait for a bunch of people to hit your deadlines.

You've started production? Sounds to me like you already have the story done! I can only assume you want somebody to write the dialogue maybe? I agree with Arman, give it go yourself. Writing is great fun and since you already have the story and the action in place, nobody will do a better job than yourself.

Things sound very posetive for you though. Good for you! Any way we can see your previous films?
