Vincent Laforet on HDDSLR Filmmaking

Not too sure where to put this. Hope it makes sense here.

This is a product. I'm not promoting it, and I have no affiliation with them. It's just something I found in my searches, and liked. It's really just another iteration of what you guys and gals are always saying here on I.T. But it seems like a good introductory class on DSLR filmmaking, and in fact, on basic filmmaking in general for newbs like me. And also good bread & butter reminders for, I can only guess, seasoned filmmakers too?

I guess they didn't sync their audio? Does that hurt their credibility as at least commentator seems to suggest it does in the comment section below the video?

I don't know, but Mr. Laforet seems so levelheaded and the content of his presentation seems very sensible to me, so...

By the way, here's Reverie. If you watch the video above, then you'll see it there. But otherwise. Apparently, it was one of the first films shot with the 5D and made something of a stir....so sort of historical.

Met him last this spring after he gave a presentation in Amsterdam about his still and movie work and about the C300. What he told/showed was very interesting and besides that he's a nice guy.
He was indeed one of the first to shoot video with a 5D mk II prototype.

One day I read a post on gis blog where he claimed he was gonna give tips aimed at guerilla low budget filmmaking.

I read it until he started listing every piece of equipment that is needed and began hating the guy at that moment :D.
