Using Emergency Vehicles in a Series

I'm working on a short series that follows a fictional team of paramedics with the Boston Fire Department. Problem is, that I don't have access to any ambulances, fire trucks, etc. Do fire departments typically loan out apparatus to film production crews?

Do fire departments typically loan out apparatus to film production crews?

No, they don't. Fire Departments, Paramedics and Police drive the vehicles they do with the equipment they have because they generally need said equipment. Anytime you don't have the equipment, you don't save people.

Prop companies have fully equiped Ambulances, Firetrucks, Police cars etc you can rent, though, and most times the company will even paint them the way you need! Be preparred to drop quite a hefty amount of money, though.
