Despite the sound of the thread title, this is not about film-makers of a diminutive stature.
There is an event that has recently started in Basingstoke (don't laugh) where people get together at screenings to watch people's short films: Red Carpet Screenings.
If you check out www.redcarpetscreenings.com there'll be some more info but I think the website is still being finished.
I've shown shorts at two of these now and it's great to see your work on a big screen with an audience of 100+ people to get the reaction. The last one was on Friday night and I do recommend to any film-maker in the UK that just wants to get their work seen by an audience to keep tabs on it.
