trying to decide between this cheap film equipment...

Ok, so I have made a couple short films and a bunch of test stuff with the camera I have had for a year or 2, the canon r400, which is the cheapest one they offer (I got it new for 170). I think it's time to upgrade my audio, as I have been using the onboard mic and I have to spend hours upon hours in post trying to figure out how to make it sound the least shitty as possible.

I am looking a this dirt cheap shotgun mic http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00E1D2LTA/ref=ox_sc_act_title_6?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=A56FNWS5K0M3V

as well as the zoom h1 recorder, which doubles as a good microphone if I decide to just get that -http://www.amazon.com/Zoom-Handy-Portable-Digital-Recorder/dp/B003QKBVYK/ref=sr_1_1?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1417911006&sr=1-1&keywords=zoom+h1

The thing is, do I want to get a shotgun, the zoom h1, make a shock mount, and some cheap lapel mics, or should I just ADR everything? If I went ADR, I might go federico fellini style, and just say random things and not even bother to lip sink dialogue, which make help create a dreamlike/ surreal feel and disconnect. If I went that route, I might just get the h1 or the blue yeti.

One thing to consider is do you really want to rebuild all the ambient sounds as well? If it were me, I would get the shotgun and H1 because I don't have the skill to create all the sounds and dialogue later, or even deal with half being from onboard mics and half from a blue yeti later.
