Trainspotting

Brick & Pin productions in association with The Broadway Theatre invite you to come TRAINSPOTTING…

Adapted by Harry Gibson TRAINSPOTTING – THE PLAY is based on the award-winning novel by Irvine Welsh. When it first appeared in 1996 shortly after the release of the film starring Ewan McGregor it sent shockwaves throughout the theatre world and played to sell out audiences and critical acclaim all over Britain.

Now it’s back!

Original cast member Cameron Jack directs this dark, seedy tale of Edinburgh’s rife drug fraternity at the Broadway Studio Theatre in a production that simply must be seen! If you thought the film was shocking then you ain’t seen nothing.

The inspiring set has been designed by Mark Tildesly (production designer on film 28 Days Later) and sees the studio transformed into the rotten, abandoned Leith Central Station which serves as the backdrop to the non-stop action. Witness dimly lit tenements and run down flats, heroin fuelled drama – the highs and lows of Renton, Begbie, Sickboy and Co. And of course there is that toilet…

Trainspotting opens on Tuesday 19th April at 8pm and plays nightly (Tues-Sat) until Saturday 14th May.

Press Night is Thursday 21st April.
