Hi everyone,
I'm planning to start a film noir series, possibly as soon as late 2012. The show is a community project, where different people will be writing episodes.
The show resembles the suspense shown in Alfred Hitchcock Presents and the Twilight Zone. Each episode holds a self-contained story, which resembles old-time suspense, thriller, and horror stories.
Originally, the idea was to have two episodes back-to-back, but that didn't work out. So I'm scaling it back to 12 half-hour episodes (possibly more if there's enough interest). Obviously, the name will have to be changed (if you have ideas, tell me). The runtime of each episode will run close to half an hour, about 28 minutes. The runtime will include an opening monologue from an eerie host, half of the episode, a fake commercial from the '50s, the second half of the episode, and the closing monologue.
In these episodes, you know something's not right and a twist at the end ties things up, but still leaves you thinking. It's a nod to the film noirs of the '30s and '40s, but makes you seriously think about what you just saw.
I already have 7 writers signed on. I'm still in need of 5 more writers.
That's my spiel. If you're interested in writing or want more information, let me know!
Thanks guys,
Evan
