Ever since my gran bought me "Nightmare on Elm Street 2" when i was about 10 years old, i have always loved the slasher/horror genre.
My question is what made characters like Freddy Krueger, Jason Voorees and Mike Myers become so iconic and stand the test of time?
What makes the different to say the killer in "I know what you did last summer" ok they got 3 films out of him, but i personally wouldnt call him an all time great villain.
So what do you think made the 3 mentioned plus anymore you can think of, stand out the most.... what it their look? Their back story? The way the killed?
