The Complete Guide To Setting Up Your Webseries (or film, I guess) Website

So about half way through this week I sat down to start working on my piece for Guerilla Showrunner this week, which I was intending to be a quick guide to setting up a website for non-techie types.

It grew.

So, Part 1 is out today, covering webhosts, what you don't need, goals, content management systems, and that sort of thing, and I'll update this thread as subsequent bits come out! Part 2 next week has plugins, analytics, themes, domain names, and more.

Hope you guys find this useful! I nearly gave up half way through, but figured it'd be a great resource for the community if I actually finished the bloody thing!

Not quite sure why this got moved to "Promotional", given that it's linking to a hard information site directly on-topic for the board, that isn't selling anything, but hey.

Second and third parts of the guide to making a website for your series or show:

- Plugins, domain names, themes.

- Design, do you need a designer, and how to make a decent site without one, or any additional money.
