The Brooklyn Midnight Run >> A 24 Hour Filmmaking Event

Midnight. The first hour of the most demanding, chaotic yet rewarding film festival you have ever been a part of. On September 23rd, filmmakers will descend on Brooklyn in hopes of writing, shooting and editing an original film in only 24 hours. This is the Brooklyn Midnight Run; an event presented by NYC Midnight Movie Making Madness in conjunction with the Brooklyn Museum, and designed to push the limits of creativity. These few hours will determine who wins top prizes and industry exposure and who just needs to catch up on some sleep.

The festival catapults into action at 11:59 PM on September 23rd and comes to a halt 24 short hours later with a filmmaker’s bash at the Galapagos Art Space in Williamsburg. The top films will be screened for the general public as part of the Brooklyn Museum’s Target First Saturday program and filmmakers will be competing for thousands in prizes, including a 15 week digital filmmaking class provided by the title sponsor, The Digital Film Academy.

The competition is open to anyone, but space is limited and teams must register by the entry deadline of September 22, 2005. For further information on the Brooklyn Midnight Run and to register, visit http://www.nycmidnight.com. Leave your pillow at home and get ready for the most insanely creative 24 hours of your life!
