not sure if this is what you mean, but I used a hair light mounted on top of a wardrobe once, which made it possible for the camera to move around the scene because the "stand" was a prop on the set anyway

I don't know that there are any tricks. Rehearse your camera move
and find a place that is not in the shot to place your backlight. If there
is a wardrobe you put it there. If you need to attach it to a wall do what
you can. If you need to hang it from the ceiling you need to figure out
how. I suspect each situation will be different.
