Tascam DR40 currently $156 + $15 mail in rebate

Just thought I would share this as I found that at bhphotovideo.com right now the Tascam DR40 is just a $156 and there is even a $15 mail in rebate, so you could end up getting it for $141 free shipping. Seems like a great deal and I have already ordered mine since its way cheaper then a h4n zoom and it has XLR inputs. Alrighty, peace out.

Everyone has been waiting for this one for a while. It is another entry aimed at the music crowd, not those of us interested in production sound. While it may be a passable micro budget alternative, it is lacking individual input volume control knobs; however, since it has the ability to track the same source at two volume levels, it may be okay, although you will have to record all four tracks to do so if I read the manual correctly.
