I have just recently purchased two super 8 camera's from www.super8camera-shop.com.
One of them, a Minolta 401xl, has a small triangular black mark when looking through the eyepiece in the bottom left hand corner. It is obstructing the view.
I can see no imperfections on the lens or on the eyepiece.
When I hold the camera up to a light and look through the lens backwards (i.e. - through the lens and out the eyepiece) I do not see the black triangle.
Does anyone know if:
a) this is something that is common?
b) how to fix something like this?
c) if this is likely to show up on the developed film?
d) if there is anyplace in NYC that will service Minolta Super 8 camera's.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
