I recently bought a

Gresus 3 Inch Magic Plasma Ball Lamp - Touch Sensitive Interactive Plasma Lamp

for about 20 bucks. It is nothing that was essential, but I can't believe the ideas that come to mind and Zen state it puts me in while using it..I have seen these since the 80's (they were much larger and crazy expensive) anyways, I guess this is just a stuff you buy thread that is, just stuff.

Re. Stuff: Breaking news from Buzz Feed:

36 Kitchen Products With Cult Followings So Large You’ll Want To Try Them, Too.

(we'll see)

1. A Yonanas fruit soft-serve maker. Tempted.

2. A color-coded Cuisinart knife set. Cross-contamination is a myth.

3. A foaming garbage disposal cleaner. People clean their garbage disposals?

11. An egg bite maker. What's an egg bite?

13. A set of reusable silicone Stasher bags. Makes me think, for some reason, of Jeffry Daumer.

15. A set of dishwasher-cleaning tablets. People clean their dishwashers?

16. A two-pack of TikTok-famous Dan-O's seasoning. Not putting anything from TikTok-famous Dan-O on my food.

17. A slim organizer tray for your cutlery. People organize their cutlery?

23. A bagel guillotine. Am fond of all my fingers.

24. A breakfast sandwich maker. Ordered! I really think the ability to make my own Egg McMuffins wil fix my broken life.

29. A bottle of Mike's Hot Honey. Not interested, but might steal the title for something: Mike's Hot Honey!

30. A cooktop and stove top cleaner kit. People clean....? Just kidding.

32. A pack of French vanilla-flavored Nutpods. Nutpod this.

(The thought of trying to be amusing, and not being amusing, is for me particularly humiliating. Although it shouldn't be; the world is packed with unfunny funny. Still, it's stressful, because, in the quiet of my lonely room, I just can't tell. So I guess (and this is pathetic I know) I wouldn't mind a little forum feedback: Was anyone, at any point here, amused?)

Yup, lol. I gave myself the little challenge, to respond to everything on the list. But, for a little thing, it's asking a lot for not much payback -- Sorry :)

Edit: Re. Mara's comment, I cut out 23 of 36 items. Better, I think :)

ahh . . . I should have left the rest of the list :). And yea, I'm a sucker for these buzz feed huff post lists of things to buy
on a tangent here, but thought of this, a story I read a bit ago and copied:

While a score and visual effects had yet to be completed, "Batgirl," starring Leslie Grace as Batman’s titular counterpart, had already received a public test screening when it was shelved.

-- Marco Margaritoff, HuffPost

Huh huh. He said titular.

I bought a tabletop fire pit and yeah it is amazing, especially while having some wine and relaxing lol

there are a lot of brands out there, I got one for 40 bucks, I’m super happy with it. I would suggest having a window open or door open and of course not having it going next to anything else! Great invention, better than 90% of the crap to watch on Netflix lol

a tabletop fire pit
My first thought: What could possibly go wrong? I had to look at the Amazon to make sure this was a real thing, lol.

And now I'm considering :). Toasting marshmallows and telling campfire stories in your living room!

OK. I don't think i could pull it off, I think I would be too self-conscious walking around, but I think I want one of these shirts. Also one of those rugs that look like a vortex-hole in the floor. Actually, I think i want one of everything--a magic plasma ball, a table top fire pit, that flashlight you can deep-fry, that tape you can make a boat out of . . . x-ray specs. Hey, life is short.

Hey @Spike do you think eating ice cream or having hot soup in a stainless steel bowl makes a difference, I think it does! Now, I’m thinking of buying stainless steel plates for dinner, just because I am that convinced!

Interesting. For me it's just the opposite. I don't like eating, or drinking, anything out of stainless steal, or any kind of metaL. Coffee from a stainless mug tastes, to me, metalIc, although I'm sure this is just my imagination.

And It's something about the sound, or the friction, for me, of metal on metal--like a spoon on a metal dish, or a knife on a sizzler steak plate. It makes my teeth hurt. kinda like the chalkboard thing.

But I'm weird, I know, abut some stuff like this. If someone scrapes a fork across their teeth I want to leave the table. If someone is eating an ice cream cone by sticking their tongue out I have to look away.

Anyway, for ice cream, I think the classic fluted glass, or ceramic or porcelain, and for soup, ceramic or porcelain. Never stainless, but of course that's just me, and I'm sure I'm not typical. So, I think, go for it :)

Sandwich for breakfast?
Breakfast sandwiches in the US usually include some combination of eggs (fried/scrambled/poached/whatever) with bacon, ham, or sausage on a roll, bagel, or sometimes a taco. Cheese usually makes an appearance too :) They're great if you're in a rush to work or driving somewhere, and are especially good when you're hungover and don't have the luxury of staying in bed.
