Does anyone know the strategy to get the most out of Facebook/Twitter/Myspace?

It's fine to have a page, but if it's not getting the proper attention it's a waste.

Similar to other posts/threads, Social profiles are useful, but only go so far. I did it and everyone who wanted one, got one. The end.

I am trying a twitter feed pre-story for my movie http://twitter.com/sptruckerbruce, but it's not getting as much attention as I want. people follow you in the hopes that you will follow them. I don't know if anyone reads it or just wants me to follow them. The twitter feed can be really long if you follow a lot of people so my posts may not get read at all because they get buried by other posts. unless you advertise the hell out of your twitter account, it may go unnoticed by your audience. I am thinking a blog would be better. after doing this for the last few months it seems like a waste of time. it's good for creativity though.

let me add that I am adding youtube vids to a channel I created. Maybe you can try that.
