I'm going to start a filmmaking club at my college, St. Edwards in Austin TX, but we will need money for equipment or equipment donations from people. St. Edwards has photography as a major, but not even a club devoted to filmmaking. Our school is extremely liberal and I'm surprised no one has tried to help fill the demand for the art of film. The school will not help fund it because they do not recognize any student started clubs or organizations...which is retarded, believe me I know, and believe their money should go somewhere else first. If you are interested in helping us by making a donation, either small or large, please let me know.
My goal with the club it's first year will be to make a few student written and directed short films throughout the course of the year. But we need equipment, obviously. Camcorders, computer software, microphones, etc. Anything!
