Spiritual Cinema Festival-at-Sea 2006 Accepting Entries

The SPIRITUAL CINEMA FESTIVAL-AT-SEA, April 22 - 29, 2006, is now accepting entries.
The festival is held on a seven-day cruise through the Mexican Riviera. The festival, now in its 2nd year, is seeking narrative, animated, and experiential films (shorts and features) that expand the mind, warm the heart and stir the soul.

Selected films will be eligible for 1st and 2nd Place Short, 1st and 2nd Place Feature, as well as Audience Awards, to be presented on the cruise. Free passage on the cruise (airfare not included) will be made available to ONE filmmaker per selected film - additional berths may be purchased at a special filmmaker's rate.

The Spiritual Cinema Festival-at-Sea showcases an exhilarating variety of spiritual films, workshops, special screenings, a closing-night awards ceremony, informative panel discussions, scintillating cocktail parties, two formal sit-down dinners, and dozens of informal gatherings for filmmakers and attendees alike.

The seven-day cruise aboard the luxury Holland America M/S Oosterdam cruise liner features a wealth of opportunities to interact with kindred spirits, all while sailing the gorgeous waters of the Pacific. 2006 ports of call include Cabo San Lucas, Mazatlan and Puerto Vallarta.

Led by Spiritual Cinema Circle co-founder, veteran filmmaker Stephen Simon (“Somewhere in Time,” “What Dreams May Come” producer), the Spiritual Cinema Festival-at-Sea is a unique floating film festival that celebrates the heart and soul of cinema. Spiritual but not religious, Spiritual Cinema is entertainment that uplifts, inspires and stirs the soul.

Bestselling author Neale Donald Walsch will join Stephen Simon aboard the 2006 festivial to premiere exclusive footage from the mystical new film based on his life, "Conversations with God," directed and produced by Stephen Simon. Other special events and workshops include a relationship workshop led by Spiritual Cinema Circle co-founders and bestselling authors Kathlyn & Gay Hendricks, who will utilize film clips to illustrate the mysteries and secrets of intimate relationships. Viki King (author of "How to Make a Movie in 21 Days") will lead a revelatory filmmaking workshop titled "Launching Your Heart's Desire."
