watch Sophie

Wow, I would love to watch a 2 hours movie with this. Another words: Great, great short film! It was amazing :) - I love that everythings feels so real. Nice makeup and the soldier acted superb!

It was a great Indie Talk collaboration!

Will Vincent did the VFX which are fantastic! Thanks Will!

Nick Hilton wrote it!

Darn, I want to watch it, but it melts down whenever I push play. :( I suppose it's something on my end. But...Vimeo is still playing fine for me as usual with other videos when I try them.

Anybody else having trouble?

That was really good, it looked amazing, I loved the grade. My only slight gripe was the sound, the adr was a bit clunky and the foley could of been a bit quieter. A very nice piece though, with good direction.

It's a fantastic short film and I really would encourage all Indietalk members to watch it.

To see how much Phil's achieved in the space of a couple of years ought to be an inspiration to all members, young and old.

unfortunatly VIMEO is causing this to play like crap, its judder, audio is off sync, just putting me off to be honest, any chance of a youtube upload or something else?

Man, doing this one year after finding interest in filmmaking is just... fantastic. Did you know nothing at all about filmmaking when you posted that thread one year ago or had you already done some video stuff ?

Keep it up.

BTW, I'm in favor of using your film as teaching material on IT. Since you directed and DoPed it, we should have a thread dedicted to asking questions on how you achieved specific scenes.

Didn't know much about filmmaking back then. I started when I opened that thread pretty much! :)

If you wanna start a thread, go ahead, if you wanna ask here, shoot :)

I really am blown away by this short. It felt very "epic", even for a short. This is what I hope to achive in my film making, someday.

Thank you Phil, and congratulations.

i take it you have money though?
to buy toys and what not?

Don't know what you mean by I have money.

£3000 is what I had. All from my own pocket.. It's not about the gear we had, it's about the hard work by everyone who worked on it! Producers, Military specialists, Make-up, hair, costume...
