Recently I bought this camera and I think it's great, I've been mucking around on it but haven't used it filming people other than myself. I am in the process of writing a short film, probably for Tropfest 09. The thing about most Sony 'handycams' is that they only take Sony accessories through the shoe, which means I think I'm limited to three microphones which have all got reasonably bad reviews for the money.
So I think I read somewhere that you can buy an adapter/converter for the shoe socket which means you can use normal microphones with the camera.
Anyone care to shed some light?
