Hello there guys out there, I feel a bit cheeky posting this here, but I suppose it's worth a shot. I'm about to enter my third year of university and we are making a movie for our final project, we are trying to make the film as great as it can be, here's the synopsis:
Sister Vengeance tells the story of the titular Sister, the last in a line of genetically-engineered samurai nuns, created by the enigmatic Father, to act in the interest of righteousness- which more often than not involves cutting down hordes of criminals with their razor-sharp katanas.
When the Sister was nothing but a novice, the rest of her order were destroyed by the diabolical (but oh-so-stylish) super-criminal Rico Snake, whom the Sister now hunts with one thing on her mind- sweet, sweet revenge! As the Sister journeys through a surreal and dangerous world she encounters all manner of strange characters both good and bad, and learns what it means to be a true samurai warrior.
As you can see, this is a throwback to the pulp 70’s grindhouse/expoloitation cinema, but taken to a new ridiculous extreme.
I've gotten such a mixed response to this premise, everything from praise to vile threats of violence due to my "stupid fucking idea of a piece of shit film". People can be so supportive.

This is the first time we’ve used IndieGoGo to raise money for a University project. Normally, University projects we’ve been involved with have had a limited budget and have been limited to 10 minutes. However, with this project we have to produce a film of 30 minutes in length, – so we’re working on a much larger scale than anything we’ve done before.
Our goal with Sister Vengeance is not simply to make a high quality project for our University course, but to create an entertaining film to show off and enter into festivals and competitions. We want to make a movie that will not only show our growing skill as film-makers in a technical and academic sense, but also in the sense of our ability to create enjoyable and imaginative cinema on a budget.
We’ve estimated that in order to make Sister Vengeance the way we want to make it, we require at least £500 from an external source to supplement any money we put into the project ourselves.
By supporting this project you’re helping to support ambitious student film, and helping us realise our ambitions as independent film-makers.
