editing Shrinking/Growing Person

Hello,
One of my future projects involves a character shrinking into a smaller size (size of a toddler) when she's sitting on the ground in a hall.

Another scene involves the same character lying on the couch but with awkward proportions (stretched arms, legs...etc.).

I use FInal Cut Pro, and was wondering what the easiest approach to this is. Any help would be appreciated.
