I had a meeting with my prop master this past Sunday. He will be building a model spaceship for the pick-up footage we will shoot next spring both in the public park we used and a room in a theater group with no windows for greenscreen shooting.
I also am inviting actors to return for pickup footage for one big fight scene in particular so the production doesn't end up looking like a TV show that reuses the same footage over and over. More original footage on location is the best cure for that with the same actors reprising their roles in character and costume.
We have time to plan. I expect it to add value to the production. The cast and crew loved the public park shooting location with all of its' perks.
So, hopefully, the shoot will work out well.
