cinematography Shooting for custom screen sizes

I have been asked to make a film as part of a theatre show.

It will be projected onto a custom screen (9mx3m) so will need to be 3600 × 1200 or possibly 1920 x 640

I am unsure the best way to do this and wondered if anyone had any advice or tips for shooting and editing something at this size.
