This summer, to stay busy, positive, proactive and productive – I’m seeking to write and then produce a short, digital movie (with a total running time of no more than 20 minutes).
I already found the basis for my plot.
I want the movie to be dark with a consistent an anti-smoking theme (complete with symbols, motifs, etc) - nothing sappy or preachy but realistic enough to entice the young – particularly, college students since they are targeted by cigarette companies and many, who don’t smoke but curious enough, get easily pressured to start - once they are parent-free.
My friend Eric Watts, wrote a personal article about his battle to quit. Watt’s “Smoke Signals” was published online for a digital publication entitled ‘Survivor News’.

I’ve already gained his permission so I’d like to expand on his work / take it further by effectively adapting it into a short, low-budget - digital movie.
So to finally conclude - I’m seeking a collaborator (screenwriter) with either personal experience in this area or simply a willingness to help me in anyway possible in adapting this article into an entertaining and enticing new medium of digital video.
