This is a short film project I did for my film school. The assignment is to recreate a dialogue and an action scene from a movie. It's kind of like covering a song for musicians I guess.

I think it turned out alright considering I was going to school and working full time while trying to make this with no budget. Just keep that in mind, but any constructive criticism or advice is absolutely welcome!

I gotta say I really liked it. Job well done. :)

How did you film the action scene - using some kind of steadicam device or shoulder rig? Looked really good.

p.s. Loved the original movie too. Wow, great movie.

I first tried using a GlideCam, but it was more trouble than it was worth in my limited shooting schedule.

Then I tried a technique that I use a lot where I wedge the legs of the tripod into my hips and use the center point to steady the shot, sort of like a make-shift steady rig. That worked for most of the shots, but there were quite a few where I just went completely handheld, it seemed to fit the pacing better.

I stabilized some shots a bit in after effects during post.
