Anyone who has ever listened and knows the Ziggy Stardust saga, knows that while Bowie wrote the songs, Mick Ronson was the musical force and arranger of these classic albums. He also arranged Lou Reed's best, Produced many great artists including Mellencamp's Jack and Diane. Sadly this magnificent musician died in 1993.
