ROCHESTER, NY - Maslin Productions, Ltd. has been recognized by three national organizations for their work on an award–winning documentary, an internationally distributed television commercial, and an award-winning corporate video.
"Hitching a Ride on the Great Lakes" recently won a New York Emmy Award for Best Educational Programming Series. The show, now being considered for national distribution, follows the journey of a seafaring crew through various ports on Lake Ontario, from Irondequoit Bay to Kingston, Ontario, Canada. Bryan Maslin of Maslin Productions, Ltd. served as co- Director of Photography on the one-hour documentary, produced by David Marshall, Gertrude Houston, and Post Central. The show aired on several PBS stations across New York, and won a prestigious Telly Award in 2003.
"Oh Dear" is a political television commercial, produced in collaboration with the Raging Grannies of Rochester. The ad was produced for the online competition "Bush in 30 Seconds", sponsored by political group MoveOn.org. Oh Dear was selected as one of the best 50 commercials out of nearly 1,500 submissions received worldwide, and will be included on a compilation DVD now being marketed by MoveOn. Bryan Maslin donated his time to direct, shoot and edit the commercial for the Raging Grannies.
"Xerox: Innovation at Work" is a winner in the 25th annual Telly Awards. This project, produced by Dan Bruck of Xerox Corporate Marketing Services of Los Angeles, was shot in several locations around the world. Bryan Maslin acted as Director of Photography for the Rochester segments, shot at Xerox facilities in Webster.
