RED L.A. User Group Meeting

The RED L.A. user group will hold its first meeting at Kappa Studios in Burbank on Saturday March 15th from 9:00 to 12:00 noon.

This will be a great opportunity for producers and directors to talk to RED ONE operators and owners and evaluate the advantages of this camera system. We'll have several cameras at hand as well as post workflow demonstrations using Final Cut Pro, Avid DS and Assimilate Scratch.

Answering Hi Def Questions the Easy Way
 
We just got a word that there will be an exclusive presentation showcasing third party post tools which help FCP in dealing with RED camera workflow. At the moment there is no "official" way to load RED .R3D files into Final Cut. This tool addresses some of those issues.
