Recording Audio on Set

I was wondering if anyone could find any footage of an actual production in the middle of shooting, especially the audio aspect. I was just curious to get a few different behind the scenes looks at how some people do different things, though I couldn't find much myself. Thanks!

Yes it is, thanks! I am trying to better see how they do dual dialogue and group dialogue etc. It looks like in parts he just holds it over all three of them without really specifically pointing?

A talented boom-op will do very small adjustments from person to person. In the clip I posted, if you watch the mic closely, you will notice that the angle changes slightly as the speaker changes; he is holding the mic between the actors and gently twists the boom-pole to change the angle. The scene is actually a poor example as there are a lot of rapid-fire exchanges, a really tough job for a boom-op. BTW, a really good boom-op knows the script at least as well as the actors.

Wow! Love that second clip especially the way he quickly and confidently changes positions and boom handling. A true master
Just watched that first one, almost a cinema verite scene, every boom ops nightmare. Particularly impressed with the booming in and out of the doorway. There's bits in there when it looks more like the mic is swinging him about
