Rec. 709 or Rec. 2020 colour in FCPX

Hi,
I use Final Cut Pro X for my video editing and in the new 10.3 version they have added support for Wide Gamut Rec. 2020 as well as the Standard Rec. 709 colour space.
I use a Sony SLT-A57 camera with AdobeRGB selected.

Is it worth selecting Rec. 2020 in FCPX or should I stick with Rec. 709 when editing my videos?

I think 2020 is 4k, 709 is HD

Yeah, 2020 does seem to be more for 4k.
But the AdobeRGB colour space has more colour information than sRGB,
so am I only getting sRGB quality if I select 709? Since I film with AdobeRGB would it be better to select 2020?

REC709.

Only UHD sets support 2020, and even then - not all of them, and of those that do none support the full gamut.

REC2020 is still a little while off being any kind of standard.
I'd suggest whatever monitor you use to grade on certainly isn't REC2020 so you wouldn't be able to grade to see any benefit anyway.
