Reasonable Doubt ...

I was emailed by Mark Chris to pitch my work to New Show Studios to take action with my TV show or movie idea.

Googling New Show Studios set off some red flags from people who posted their own experience with them including such accusations as New Show Studios pitches the content under their own names and charges fess to writers and the writers get nothing out of the pitch.

Be Careful. I won't do business with this company after reading the bad experience of others.

I don't know anything about this particular company but I've said over and over that when ANY company charges a fee there is a conflict of interest. How do you know they aren't accepting it just because they want to MAKE MONEY rather than because they believe that they can sell it? A company could take in a lot of money shopping any old scripts that come their way.

Some bogus companies are very good at putting on an act where they pretend to have their own screening process. Then sure enough... a week later.... "Congratulations! We have approved your script! That will be $500 please."

It's incredible that people fall for such crap, but I guess the overwhelming desire to succeed by selling a script makes them drop their guard.

Like "professional script consultants" who pretend to be experts and charge money to critique scripts. That's what having friends in the film industry is for.
