Question about sound cards.

I recently got a SupremeFx X-FI PCI sound card. It won't recognize on my pc for some reason though. But before I continue any further with my troubleshooting, I was curious about my previous sound card. I don't think it is stronger, though it might be, my previous sound card is a Soundblaster X-FI Go usb. Does anyone know which is stronger? I would think the SupremeFx X-FI, but I don't know. And if the SupremeFx X-FI is stronger, does anyone know how I could get my pc to recognize it.
