Question about audio peaking in Premiere Pro.

I've noticed that while editing if I put an audio sample of dialogue on 'track 2', the audio sounds good. But if I put on other tracks like track 3, it peaks. Why is that? Thanks.

Are there different settings on the plug-in(s)? Is the automation different?

I am not sure. Trying to find out. This is actually a good thing, cause some of the audio I thought clipped might not have.

did you turn track 2 down trying to deal with the clipping?

Did you watch the audiometer on both situations?
That tells you for sure if and when it peaks.
"Sounds good" is a bit subjective in this case.
