cinematography Query regarding the shooting equipment for feature films

hey guys,
i am new to the community. my name is spen.
i had made this 80 minute movie using a sony hdr series handycam.
i wish to send it to film fests like sundance, cannes, berlin etc. just for the experience.
so nw i thnk i am not sure whether festival people will accept it in this format.
any ideas?

Each festival will have its own submission requirements. You have to conform or you will not even be considered.

For Sundance:

Films should be submitted to us on a single DVD‐R or DVD+R disc...

For Cannes:

What are the screening formats for selected films?
At CIFF we screen digitally or from DVD/Blu Ray. We accept both NTSC and PAL. If your film is accepted, our Screenings Dept will discuss screening formats with you. Other formats, including 35mm, are possible for our other screening venues.



A little Googling would have yielded these answers for you.
