ProAim vs Kessler

I am about to get a slider and a jib .

I see Proaim prices are lower and their products are a lot easier to find in my country .


I wouldn't even consider getting Kessler products since the prices are high and shipping to my country must be expensive as well .

But as two of my favourite filmmakers - Ryan Connolly and Philip Bloom recommend their products all the time I started thinking about it. But they are getting paid anyway .


Have you used any of those products ?

I've got a rig on it's way from proaim now. Yes, it's manufactured in India.. Yes some of the parts are cheaper, perhaps less durable. But at the end of the day, they do the same thing the more expensive gear does, and if it fits your budget better (and is easier to acquire in your area) it's probably worth picking up.

I ordered a customize version of that new replacement package (different follow focus primarily) and it came to about $100 less than that specific kit. What he said within the first minute or so of the review above is absolutely correct.. I used the chat on their website and asked to customize the kit, it took a while but they came back with custom pricing and when I was satisfied with the custom kit they just invoiced me for it via paypal. It hasn't arrived yet, so I can't really comment beyond any of what I've said already, but I'm happy to comment again with an update when it does arrive.

I know for one Ryan Connolly often stresses that he is not being paid to talk about Kessler.

I know for one Ryan Connolly often stresses that he is not being paid to talk about Kessler.

Yeah ,but he has another show called Pimp your production in which he advertise Kessler Products and he is paid for it.

He is good friend with Eric as well , so these are pretty big reasons to advertise their products on his main show even if he is not directly getting paid for the certain words.
