Preproduction begins on Somewhere in Indiana a feature movie about four young people visiting Fairview Indiana, hometown to the late teen idol actor Eddie Ray.

Indianapolis filmmaker Don Boner, today announced that preproduction had begun on his latest feature movie, Somewhere in Indiana. Mr. Boner’s prior works include the feature Losers Lounge, accepted by 2004 Bare Bones International Independent Film Festival being held April 19-25, 2004, and the short films Ripple, The Bumbling Detective, and Welcome to Kentuckiana.

Mr. Boner explains, ”Somewhere in Indiana is a contemporary drama about four young adults of diverse backgrounds who seek answers and closure by visiting Fairview, Indiana, hometown of the late (fictitious) actor Eddie Ray, whose life was cut short in a motorcycle accident at the age of 24. The young people’s journey introduces them to a mysterious, older stranger who changes their lives forever.”

Matthew Zatkoff was selected by Mr. Boner as his Director of Photography. Zatkoff was writer, director and Director of Photography of the feature-length film, Jordan Bank and Director of Photography on The Benefit, The Postcard, and Sebastian’s Pen. Mr. Boner also chose Gerald Peterson and Elayne Powell as assistant directors. Mr. Peterson was assistant director on Losers Lounge and the author of The Murder of Matthew Raymonds. Ms Powell is associated with Inverted Staircase Productions Adrienne Reiswerg will be Script Supervisor for Somewhere in Indiana. Ms. Reiswerg has worked onstage, backstage, and on the administrative staffs of Indianapolis theatres for fifteen years. Jonna Arnold will associate produce, as she did for the film Looking Glass Inn. Thomas A Johnson will be Sound Mixer and Postproduction Editor. Johnson was Sound Mixer on The Book and the Rose and The Wendall Tragressor. The production crew also includes Chera Federle, Ed Kessner, Mark Merritt, Jon Witmer and Martin Stapleton.

Many cast members of Somewhere in Indiana are local actors or have a Hoosier background and have had leading roles in recent Independent movies. Jason Kistler performed in A Certain Justice and 69:the Highway. Jason Smither, performed in Hair Trigger and Someone for Everyone. Apollo Bacala performed in Losers Lounge and Saving Star Wars. Vickie Smith performed in Losers Lounge and Wendell Tragressor Story. Colin Alexander performed in Losers Lounge and Sacred Seal. Dave Briggs performed in Freeze Frame and Tim Tyler performed in Losers Lounge and Someone for Everyone.

Somewhere in Indiana will be shot in central Indiana this summer. On March 6, forty-four actors are scheduled to audition for the twenty-one remaining roles.
