Here's the thing, right now I live in Hong Kong, but I am moving to Washington DC in November.
I am originally from the Netherlands where I did production, camera and editing for news items and documentaries (ENG) and live-broadcasting projects (EFP) for about 4 years. I have almost no on-set experience, though.
I would like to continue my development of skills in the field of video production...and make a living off of it again, at some point.
I am, however, not expecting to get a job that easily without a proper network and probably some in-the-US experience.
So I was wondering if any of you knew about active indie-filmmaker-groups in the DC or surrounding areas?
It would be a good way to meet some people, get some on-set experience, learn new things and have some fun while doing it, of course.
Any feedback would be appreciated!
