cinematography Panasonic AG-DVX100B 16:9?

So i have put some research into this but need some confirmation.

This camera doesnt have true widescreen on the DVX100A but does the DVX100B have a makeshift 16:9 mode? When you import, does it import as 16:9? Will it play properly on a wide screen tv, or will it be letterboxed still?
