Open Captioned Movie theaters

As a non-native English speaker, I always like to watch movies with caption, even though I could get most part without caption.

I don't like handheld closed captioning devices they provide in theaters (I live in LA). That's why I always wait for DVD's/BR's or Netflix watch instantly or Amazon video (all come with captions). Even though I am a filmmaker, I haven't gone to theaters for 3 years other than to watch few foreign movies which comes with subtitles.

When I visited Texas recently (Houston & Dallas), there were some theaters that showed a screening or two in open captions. I don't see that here in Los Angeles. Are there any open captioned movie theaters in/around Los Angeles?

Also, just curious, would native English speakers watch movies with captions? I know regular audiences don't, but how about filmmakers?

Thanks.

My parents are older and hard of hearing but still love watching movies. At home they do sometimes turn on the close captioning to be sure they don't miss anything
