I'm trying to make a tutorial that gets a new user into the crappy interface as quickly as possible so they can start doing work without having to go through quite as much flummoxing around as I did trying to figure it out. Although the tutorials seem lame so far, they are concentrating on teaching the program's oddities to the user rather than specific FX Techniques. My thought is that if I can make it so someone can use the gazillions of tutorials out there for After Effects, it's better than recreating all of those tutorials for Shake.
