ON-Camera light

I use a Canon XL-2 to do mainly documentation of property and Interiors . Im looking for a medium power on camera light. I dont need to light up a room with it I just need to fill in shadows and maybe light up a person at close range (5-10 feet) .
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
