New tripod + Slider, will they work?

First ever post here so sorry if I'm doing something wrong.

I can't seem to find any tutorials on how to mount a slider to an average tripod.

Hi,

i recently bought a Glidetrack SD to use my Canon 600d on, the first problem I encountered was that the screw/thread size on the slider was smaller than the hole on my 600D so i invested in a tripod head like this one....

This fots the screw size on the Glidetrack and i just clip my camera in to the tripod head.

With regards to putting the slider on the tripod you suggested, my glidetrack has different holes for different tripod mounts, so i think you should be fine
