New movie tagline.. still no title..

So what do you think of this tagline for a short film:

"When a bitter shoeshiner discovers the magical powers within a mysterious device, his life could change forever" :weird::weird::weird:

Does this tagline give enough to spark the interest for the audience? :)

still working on the title..

Kind of awkward... How about "A mysterious device changes a bitter shoe shines life forever."

As to a title; hmmmm, let's see....

"Shoe Shine"

Nahhhhh, too Underdog.

"Polish"

Nope, could be a nationality.

"Heels"

"Soles"

"Leather"

"Shine"

Of course, you haven't named the mysterious device or the character, so either of those could be the title.

The shoe shiner part does not seem as necessary. Do we need to know what the protagonist's profession is? Or does his job, actually have something main to do with the plot, and is not just backstory?

My protagonist has to hangout on the streets. It would cost too much money for a make up to do a believable hobo, but I do have a cool looking shoeshining kit ;)
My golden rule is if my props cost me more than 20 bucks - I'm writing overbudget. And yes, I am extremely cheap hehe
