hello everyone im a first time filmmaker. ive made other videos cutting up movies and putting them to music before but nothing like what im looking to do now. ive come up with what i think is a great idea for an indie movie and now that ive filled in all the gaps im looking to get started. if anyone can tell me where i need to go next or just any help that can be given would be so appreciated right now. i dont know what to do with this idea so anything would help thanks.

Start plugging away at the script. Remember that this is a visual medium, show don't tell, dialog should support the story, not reveal it, the actions of the characters and the situations they find themselves in does that for you. Short dialog that feels semi-natural.
When writing, I like to start with an outline of the story (just major plot points) and then flesh them out scene by scene with specific description of action and then dialog to support that later. This makes it so you have a solid story to start with, that is written almost as though it's a silent film (so the plot of the movie is moved along before the dialog gets added). Only then do I consider dialog as part of the story telling, it does all the nuancy things for you, like hiding true emotions, revealing motivations, that sort of thing.
